As well as the Fury also listed in our members cars, Dave has built this beautiful Dax Cobra.

Dave was running an XJ6 & it became apparent that it was going to cost more to MoT the car than it had cost, so a useful donor was born! The kit was purchased from Dax Sportscars at Harlow & has the front camber compenstion system & the De Dion rear axle setup. The Jag provided all the running gear, but Dave wanted a more traditional V8 look for the engine bay & opted for a 5.7 litre Chevvy engine with a 5 speed Tremec gearbox. The build took around 3 years working out of a restrictively small garage, but I think you’ll agree the result is suitably stunning!

Once through the dreaded IVA test, a hardtop was added to make it more of an all weather car, though Dave does say it makes access somewhat more difficult. This was Dave’s 5th kitcar build (sucker for punishment!) having previously built a Clan Crusader, Hustler 6, Ginetta G31 & the Fury Spider which he recently sold.
